Advanced ACT Workshop, Counselling College

For participants in the Advanced Acceptance and Commitment Therapy Workshop I ran for the Counselling College of the APS on April 10, 2010, here are the resources I promised you.

Obviously, due to copyright restrictions I cannot provide the video of “Bennet and Cari” online, but you can obtain this and over two hours of instructional video in Kelly Wilson’s book, “Mindfulness For Two“.

Here are the slides from the presentation: Advanced ACT Workshop, Counselling College April 10, 2010.

If you need electronic copies of the handouts, links to them are below:

Russ Harris’ 40 Tips can be found on his web site here.

The “Guide To An Initial ACT Session” and “Simple ACT Case Conceptualisation Form” that I developed can be found on the page for last year’s ACT for Anxiety workshop. There is an old version of Kevin Polk’s Matrix on that page, but the most up-to-date version of it, along with some excellent videos Kevin and colleagues have developed are at his new site www.actbynumbers.com.

Here is the modified Hexaflex Case Conceptualisation Form.

The full presentation of Developing Mastery in ACT has its own page on this site. One handout that you will find useful if you wish to pursue a “deliberate practice” approach to developing your ACT skills is my simplified version of Jason Luoma’s Core Competency rating form. You can get Jason’s version in his excellent “Learning ACT” book.

GoDaddy offers a specific WordPress hosting plan for a website and a basic hosting plan however, the basic plan offers an install of WordPress as an option. They both cost the same amount. I don’t want to put myself in the situation where I can’t switch back from WordPress if I don’t want to run a blog, but want to keep the hosting. Can someone explain the differences between the two plans?.

Don’t you consider to do something with your blog? Maybe moving to wordpress would be a smart move?
