Fees, payment and cancellations, locations
The fee for a 50-minute counselling session is $120. This compares to the approved rate of the Australian Psychological Society which is currently (September, 2006) $186.

Is counselling worth the expense?
When you start to see a counsellor or psychologist for treatment that may end up costing hundreds or thousands of dollars, it is a fair question to ask “How can I be sure I’ll get my money’s worth?” I use a reliable outcome measurement system so that we can keep track of your progress. This will be discussed in the first session.
I ask that you pay for each session at the time of the appointment. I accept cash and cheque as payment. I do not have credit card facilities, but I can accept payment via PayPal as long as you are willing to pay for sessions in advance. If you would like a receipt for your session, please let me know and I will either bring it to your next session or mail it to you.
If you need to cancel a session please phone or text me on my mobile number (0425 823 173) by 11.00am the day before your appointment. Cancellations after this time incur a charge of 50% of the full session fee. I understand that genuine emergencies do happen, so I am willing when I define the situation as an unavoidable emergency, to waive the cancellation charge, but this is always at my discretion.

Currently I see clients on Tuesday afternoons and evenings, Wednesday all day, and Thursday afternoons and evenings at 609 Nicholson St, Carlton North. By arrangement I will see people on Saturdays also. The other locations where I see clients are 253 Lonsdale St, Melbourne and 60 Elgin St, Carlton.
